We do not provide or support PE-Builder but we have a comprehensive tutorial here: The BartPE plug-in is only necessary if the Linux CD doesn't work for you. Also, the XP-Pro disk is not bootable, despite claims from everyone. However, although I carefully followed the instructions to try to create a boot-up disk using Bart, this totally failed because Bart read from the XP Pro disk, produced the 'bootup' image and then tried to write the new CD on the XP Pro disk instead of asking me to replace it with a re-writable! So I still cannot produce a bootable CD. However, when I came to try to restore C: it failed, saying C: was locked. I restored E OK because the OS was loaded on to C. Unfortunately Macrium has really failed on this one. The replacement computer now needs to have its original HD (C and E) restored. My computer had to go back for multiple repairs so I did a complete backup. I do weekly backups of my entire computer HD which has two partitions - C and E. If that doesn't help and you have access to another PC, could you install Reflect and create the rescue CD on that PC instead? If you have any other burning software, such as Nero, could you temporarily uninstall it in case it is conflicting? I can successfully add recovery boot menu. I purchased a license for the RAID support.I tried uninstalling and reinstalling several times. Re-install again but this time completely disable your A/V software in case it's conflicting in any way.Ĭan you also confirm that you can successfully add the boot menu? 'Other Tasks' > 'Add Recovery Boot Menu'. Uninstalled WinPE(from Control Panel) Reinstalled by double-clicking on the download executable(outside of Macrium). I just purchased the licence, installed WinPE to create Rescue CD. The machine is an old Dell with an LSI PERC 2\dc raid, I've tried a couple of drivers and have now got hold of the DellĭTK_2.3-winPe-2369 drivers which I believe Dell uses for it's pre-install. I may need to get back to you if this third disk still can't see my drives. Thanks for the prompt response, that has solved it. Could you uninstall and then install the Windows PE component again. This is a new problem as the first two times I created a rescue disk image it worked OK but the disks created were no good due to driver problems. "An error occured whilst creating the image" and it drops back to the wizard. When trying to create a Winpe rescue disk image I get the message Topic author: daveluckett Subject: Error creating disk
